Neuvel, Sylvain - credit James Andrew Rosen

Sylvain Neuvel is a linguist and translator based in Montreal. A high school drop-out, he has been a journalist, worked in soil decontamination, sold ice cream in California, and peddled furniture across Canada. He has a Ph.D. in linguistics from the University of Chicago. He absolutely loves toys, so he writes about aliens and giant robots as a blatant excuse to build action figures (for his son, of course). He will present his debut novel, Sleeping Giants, a story exploring human nature and power relations.
