Philipp Meyer’s critically acclaimed debut novel, American Rust, won a Los Angeles Times Book Prize and was an Economist Book of the Year. He is a graduate of Cornell University and was a James A. Michener Fellow while completing his MFA at the University of Texas at Austin. Meyer presents The Son, an epic of the American West and a multigenerational saga of power, blood, land and oil that follows the rise of the unforgettable McCullough family, from the Comanche raids of the 1800s to the oil booms of the 20th century.
